These are top quality raw hazelnut kernels with an amazing taste. Roast them or eat them straight, they have a slightly sweet, creamy texture and classic crunch.

You can roast them and dip them in chocolate as a sweet treat. They are great in salads; batters, or coating on fish or chicken; and as stuffing for fish, chicken, or pork. Sprinkle them into vegetables; use in baking; wok cooking; in soups; and with pasta; in pesto, and in burgers. They can be mixed into coatings: herbed, spiced, or honeyed.

Nutpatch is a small family-owned producer located in the South central part of Tasmania. Nutpatch was one of the earliest producers of hazelnuts in Tasmania.

The Nutpatch Hazelnut Orchard is thirty minutes south of Hobart in the coastal maritime township of Kettering. Over thirty different varieties selected from the USA, Italy, Turkey, France and England grow in the orchard.  Part of the orchard is set aside for research which is being conducted in collaboration with the Rural Industry Research and Development Corporation and the University of Sydney. The aim of the research is to investigate growth, yield and kernel quality in over twenty different cultivars.
